WATER SIDE, an aquarium retail shop, is located very close to JR Maisaka
station.
At this shop, you can see goldfish and Nishikigoi originally bred in Hamamatsu
with colorful tropical fish of foreign origin together. Because most of
the Koi and Goldfish are bred at this farm, they are incredibly fresh.
Nihashi Koi Farm is proud of its history of 40 years. Mr. Nihashi has been
devoted to breeding Koi which can potentially be prize fish at a show.
When you look at his KOHAKU, you can see its beautiful pattern of SHIROJI
and HI (red). No wonder there are lots of Nihashi Koi Farm fans all over
the Japan.
Other defining features about Nihashi Koi Farm are their unique variety
supplying KAWARI KOI, and DOITSU-HARIWAKE itself.
Nihashi Koi Farm is also famous for KAWARI-HIKARI (metallic) GOSHIKI..
It won't be surprising if KAWARI KOI named NIHASHI-NISHIKI become predominant
in Japan in the near future.

Now, our KOHAKU are continuously winning many prize and found as nice quality.

SHOWA
Sometimes, SHOWA was one of our main & the recommendable fish and it
was shared by many KOI lovers as NIHASHI's standard.. In 2008, we could
breed smaller but nice quality SHOWA.
Please try some and enjoy the growing & the development of the SUMI
black.

TANCHO type
Now a day, TANCHO and KAWARI TANCHO has been very popular in domestic & international market.
At our farm, when I found somethings nice & rare Tancho in smaller
size, we took it to special place & will make it to the larger size
for sale.
TANCHO KOHAKU , TANCHO SANKE, TANCHO SHOWA ..... in addition, TANCHO HIKARI
type and TANCHO GOSHIKI, many different Tancho is keeping now, and waiting
the finishing work to make them sales quality.

Nihashi Farm started their business with the breeding of eels and black Koi around 1965 at a farm in Magori-cho.
When they started their business, the production of Koi had not become
very popular yet. However, they extended their business into the Nishikigoi
production and became a Koi breeder ten years later.
Their business has steadily grown since then, and they opened a retail
shop, WATER SIDE, in 1995.
They currently have about 5 chobu, about 5 hectares, of breeding farm and
can produce Koi in a nearly natural environment.
Their DOITSU-HARIWAKE have a color of yellow and platinum skin, and this breed has lots of fans all around the world.
They are devoted to creating new kinds of Koi, so it is fun to find a KAWARI
GOI here at this farm.
